Anyone have any info on how to remove the hard drive from a Toshiba Satellite 1100-S101 without damaging the case ?  We want to get this machine running again.

Hi,

We've tried the normal screw removal process, used many times on other brands but can't get the case apart without damaging the keyboard and the case.

one of my laptops ( gateway 5350 solo) uses little press down latches up under the space bar, little press down plastic latches that hold the keyboard, , pop the keybord out and there is all the rest. perhaps this is the same.  do a phone call and ask..800-656-9403

Had the same problem with a Toshiba Satellite 1135-S155.

Takes only one screw. The one that holds the CD/DVD drive. Pull (slide)out the drive and the hard drive is there.

The hard drive is held in by 6 screws. You will see them. Don't take the entire case apart, no need.
