I recently purchased one of these interfaces used and can't seem to get it to work, I am using a straight through cable from it to the computer, am I supposed to use a null modem cable?  I don't have any documentation on it.  Any info would be appreciated.

A straight thru cable should work. You need to set your baud rate/parity to match that of the interface, which is, I believe 2400 baud.  The manual will have the gory details.

Hi
I read your note about using the IF232. I got an LCU-3 with my used 440 rig. I t has the chipset installed. BUT the cable eems to a straight through with 9 pin on computer end  and a STEREO pin connector at the rig end . Have yuo seen this type  and if so whree would it connect on the 440. Theonly opening that matches is the sp out  I am sure this is not where it goes..
I can't find a web  manual(PDF) !!
