I have been off HF for a couple years (ok more than a few)  I am looking for a good general QSO logging with internet callsign lookup like from qrz.  I run the occaisional contest like field day,cq wwdx, and sweepstakes.

Any suggestions?

For general logging, and casual contesting N3FJP's software is hard to beat.  Not free, but you get a lot for your money.  Very well written software, and very easy to use.

hi,

I agree.

Best feature is that you can upgrade to the full collection when needed and you will get credit for the individual programs you have already purchased toward the  price.

DXLab is free; here's what its users say:

I prefer LOGGER32 logging software.
Not good for contests but great for general logging and provides for RTTY and PSK 31 use. Also has rig control and DX cluster use.

I use XMLog.  Mike has done a great job with it and he keeps updating it often.  Even when someone requests something new for it, you will probably see it in the next update or very soon in another update.
Mike is good at listening to what hams want.

It is free so you can't beat the price.

I use the DXLab suite along with "VOAPROP" - (google it.)

All of those applications together provide me with everything I could possibly need and much, much more.

Check out Ham Radio Deluxe at http://hrd.ham-radio.ch/
tons of features and will be releasing a new updated PSK31 version after Easter.

Also another vote for N3FJP's software.  The best for contest logging and has an excellent general logging program as well.
