Does anyone know where I can get a schematic or a construction manual for a Knight KG-696 rf frequency generator? I have one which appears to be miswired (the battery shorts to ground when the unit is switched on). I believe this was a kit and is assembled wrong. I would like to repair this unit if possible as it is portable with a battery and is a very compact unit. Any one out there that can help me with this, it sure would be appreciated.

I would like to let the the readers of this post know. I was able to repair this generator with the expertise and help of Ken KB1AWV. He sent me some high resolution photos of a properly assembled unit and with these I was able to get my unit working as it should. With great people in the ham community like Ken, it makes life easy for those of us who are not great at repairing and troubleshooting.
