I've just purchased a Kenwood TS-570S XCVR, and am pretty confused about some items.
1. What is the difference between an RS232 cable and just a regular 9 pin (Female both ends) serial cable?
2. The Win-EQF logging program has the TS-570 listed. Do I assume that if I connect the serial cable between the rig and my computer, that I will be able to log direcctly from the rig (freq, band, etc.)to the logging program as I punch in the call?
I use to know this stuff, but age had set in, and for the life of me, I can't remember how I use to do this with a TS-440 years ago.
Tnx a million all!!! And vy 73's  Ed
