I just bought a used IC2340 more or less sight unseen (my problem).  It works o.k., but I didn't realize it didn't have "out of band" receive on it.  I need the 118+MHz receive.  I see there is a mod to do this, but I'm wondering if you put in the mod, can you then put the "out of band" frequencies in the memories??

Thanks and 73 - George, N9EJS

Here's the answer I received from ICOM support today, which I take to mean I would have to reprogram the 70 memories I put into it.  No way, Jose!
