I have attempted to install this software, version 1, in two machines with Windows 7 Service Pack 1 and I get the error: "The application was unable to start correctly ()x000007b). Click OK to close."

Anyone have any ideas?  I emailed ARRL, this is a nearly new computer.  Problems seem to be with any version, Tech through Extra.  When I try Google, all I get is a load of LoTW problems, none on this.

Thanks

Sir,

Are you an accredited & registered ARRL VE? If you're not, that is why you cannot get the software to work. Here is the direct copy & paste from the ARRL VE software download page: "The VE Exam Maker Software can only be downloaded by VEs that are
accredited and registered with ARRL VEC."

I am talking about the exam software that comes with the ARRL books you buy to take the tests.  The problem is only with Windows 7.
