A strange thing happened recently to me. From a representative in Romania of a Hungarian equipment seller I ordered the YF-122C 500 Hz CW filter for my FT-897 Yaesu Vertex transceiver. When I tried to plug it in the slot  I noticed that the filter is about 1 mm. too short! It was impossible to fit it in both the upper and lower pins.
On the box it was printed allright YF-122C, but on the filter itself was XF-115C. I returned the filter to the seller and I tried to explain my problem. He contacted the mother company in Hungary and he received the explanation that the two filters are actually the same and the filter should fit to my rig, since it was sold to many other 897 owners, without receiving any complaint.  They will refund me the price, but not the shipping expenses...
I googled the XF-115C and I found out that it is recommended for FT-1000MP and FT-847. There is no word about fitting it in the 897.
Experienced anybody something similar? Thank you for your attention.

The YF-122C is the correct filter for your radio. They gave you the filter for the FT-1000mp. The correct size filter will fit perfectly and snap right in place.-Mike.
