I read that my TS-940SAT will tune SWR up to 3.0.  It seems to do that with no problems.
But, I wondered if the transmitter has any circuits that limit the 100watt output for a certain level of SWR.

Yes, it will "fold back" power output more as SWR increases. Usually it starts are 1.5 to one with most rigs though some start sooner and some a bit later. Now when you use tuner in 940 the final will still see a 1 to 1 match

 :)Check page 19 of the owner's manual. It states that it "MAY" operate when the SWR is greater than 2:1. Smiley,and it may reduce power.
