I already have an "American Key" (oval shape) Speed-X and also wanted a rectangular one so now I have no excuse for not getting it.
These are great, quality keys at a very reasonable price (even at full price). As the Speed-X keys have been around since the 1930's, I would say they're a "proven design"
You can get a matching black (crinkle-finish) aluminum base plate for them from Universal Radio or from Morse Express (who also do a custom cherry wood plinth for the Speed-X keys).
