I have bought used/demo equipment from Ten-Tec several times over the years and the "demo" equipment has always been 100% pristine original with every original accessory and manual in complete original packaging, in a condition that I have never ever been able to describe as anything but indistinguishable from "new".

The "used" stuff is really, truly top notch "like new" stuff. And they do have photos of "used" equipment on their site.

I will heartily recommend buying demo and used equipment from Ten-Tec. I encourage you to call and talk to them if you have any concerns at all about any item or the process. Sales, shipment, and customer care of their used/demo equipment is done with all the care that they give to buyers of "new" equipment. I know this last part because of a UPS shipment problem that happened on one of my used/demo purchases, and Ten-Tec went way above and beyond in taking care of that shipping issue. It was their handling of the UPS shipment problem, that lets me be so confident in saying that they will take care of the buyer.

          As I said when starting this old thread Ten Tec's treatment of my friends used Jupiter purchase was far from stellar "As new" would hardly describe the condition of the rig which had a bad tuning knob and developed more faults soon after. Your mileage may vary of course.

They offer a full 30 day warranty on used gear:

Used TEN-TEC equipment purchased directly from TEN-TEC is warranted for 30 days from date of purchase.

I would have asked for a sales rep. to resolve a used equipment problem, not the parts department.

I had bought one of their Jupiters that was a send it back if you don't like it arrangement.  Got the radio, was squirrely out of the box.  Sent it back, found out it was wired incorrectly.....got it back, after that QC issue, I decided to just return it....wasn't all that great and with one QC issue, I figured more may be forthcoming..never went back, not sorry.
