Hi
I have just bought a signalink USB to run psk31 and other data modes via FLdigi into the 950,and its data port but cannot seem to be able to TX, the  receive is ok but no TX even though FLdigi seems to be showing tx but the 950 doesn't tx. am still new to the 950 so if anybody can help me with this set up I would appreciate it very much. Perhaps I have missed something in the set up
Many thanks
Kevin

I use an FT-897d and have never tried an FT-950,
but on an FT-897D you must activate the "data vox"
function to get the radio to transmit when using the data
input on the rear.

Good luck

What mode are you using?

I believe that the FT-950 wants "DATA / USB" mode, for operating through the DATA jack.  And if there's a menu option for "D TYPE", set it to "USB", _not_ "RTTY".

The SignaLink generates a PTT signal with its own circuitry; you don't need to use "digital VOX" with it.

Check the manual for "settings for PACKET operation" -- that's what you need.
