Whats a CW Streaker?

Since getting my license in 1964, every QSO since has been using CW.  (no vhf, ssb, or any other mode).  Let me say up front, this doesn't imply my single mode of operation is any better, worse or anything else, just the way it is for me.  (I know there are lots of other great ways to enjoy this hobby, so nothing negative meant)

But I'm curious, are any other long time streakers out there whether by choice or chance?  What is your story and why did you end up CW only?

Here is mine.  When I started as a Novice in 1964, CW was the only mode I could operate.   Eventually I upgraded but didn't have any equipment to operate phone.  I enjoyed the mode but like many of us, 13 WPM was a challenge so I decided to at least become a little proficient at CW before moving to phone.  Eventually, I decided that I really liked this mode and never got around to plugging in a mike.  About 10 years ago I decided to keep the CW streak going.  For now, I'm happy to do just that and enjoy CW most every day.

Are you a streaker too?   Whats your story?

73 and see you on the bands (CW of course)

Al
