Just wondering if someone can help. I have a Cobra 2000 that only wants to receive when you jiggle a knob of any kind or switch of any kind. Then after a min it slowly fades beack out? Is this possibly a ground problem inside the rig itself? And when I transmit only the Modge meter swings not the RF meter. Any help would be greatly appreciated.   73's KD8IVA Huh

What is a modge meter?

I doubt its a ground issue - more like a dry joint.

It's a CB radio, here's some info plus a schematic:  http://www.cbtricks.com/radios/cobra/2000gtl/index.htm

I think M6GOM is right, if you take the unit apart you most likely will find a cracked solder joint, PC trace, or component.  Examine the unit carefully and you can probably spot it.  73,  Ron.
