Hi!

I have a problem with my vgs-unit.

When playing back the recorded message, there is a strong distortion and
static-like crashes when listening with tx monitor. The distortion is also heard
on the air.

Strangely, when using the constant recording functionality during a QSO, my
voice is clean when played back later.

I tried another vgs unit and the problem is still there.

Kenwood says everything is ok, even I have sent then countless of sample sound
files. And it's not a minor distortion I'm talking about. I don't have the nerve
to use it on air.

So shorty, I looking for a sound files to compare.
If possible I'm looking for a recording of a vgs-output preferably with a
processor on. You can record the sound via the headphone connector when
transmitting to a dummy load.

Best to ask your question in the Yahoo Groups Forum for the TS-590.  You'll get an instant response.  It has been a topic of discussion there already.
