I recently unearthed my old Vibroplex Champion keyer.  Unfortunately, the dot contact point is missing from the contact screw.  I purchased a new contact point from Vibroplex.  How does the contact point get attached to the contact screw?  It doesn't seem to fit in when I try to press the contact point into the opening on the screw.

You probably ordered your new contact from Vibroplex.com, so i'm sure you've looked around there. About the only thing they have is an exploded drawing of your bug here: http://www.vibroplex.com/New_Folder/CBUGDRAW.htm . Don't know if that helps any.

I use a panavise with plastic or wood jaws (not metal -- whcih will destroy the contact).  Slowly press fit ... it will work !
