The 2011 Jamboree-on-theAir (JOTA) will be held on 15-16 October 2011. Setup will begin on the Friday preceding.
The primary location will be at Oscar, AI4SS's Farm (Camp Oscar), John's Island, SC. Other locations will be Camp Ho Non Wah, Wadmalaw Island, SC and Camp Moultrie, Moncks Corner, SC.
Amateur Radio operators from the Trident Amateur Radio Club (TARC) will operate HF and VHF stations to allow Scouts and Leaders to make contact with other JOTA sites around the USA and worldwide.
Amateur stations will be active from 07:00EDT on Saturday, 15 October till 12:00EDT, Sunday, 16 October 2011.
Scouts will be provided the opportunity to attend Amateur Radio and electronics classes, to help them in obtaining related merit badges and other awards.
Scouts and leaders, along with some volunteers, will camp out at the sites.
