I want to submit a single-band log for CQ WW for 10m, but I also made a few QSOs on 40m. If I just specify "CATEGORY: SINGLE-OP 10M QRP CW" in the Cabrillo file, will their log processing software automatically understand what I want?

I hope you guys had a good contest. 10m conditions were great here! --> http://lists.contesting.com/_3830/2011-11/msg03119.html

Yes, contacts on other bands will be ignored for scoring and just used for cross-checking, if you specify your category as single band 10m.

The CQWW CW this year was really a fantastic event, with great condx and outstanding activity. Lots of all-time-records were broken; at DL1A we managed to pulverize the old German M/2 record :-).

Aloha Gary,

Yes you can do that. Be sure to subtract the 40M points from the total score and submit your log. I also was in the contest and did SOSB (A) 10M LP but I only had a short time working it as I had other things to do here at the house (Help the XYL put up Christmas). I was able to work 52 countries and 32 zones with Montenegro, Cyprus, The Gambia, Angola, Cape Verde, Mozambique, Azores being the highlights. What a blast hope to see everyone in the ARRL 10M contest in a couple of weeks.

Be sure to subtract the 40M points from the total score and submit your log.

When your log is scored, they ignore your claimed score, so does not matter if it is changed or not.

They also use a master country file - everyone is scored on the same file, so it does not matter what country you think you worked.

Bottom line - have fun, submit log.  Wait for results, and then we get to do it all over again next year!
