New Ameritron AL-1500 Delivery

Hello All:

I placed an order for an Ameritron AL-1500 on the morning of December 30Th with a particular Ham Radio supplier, who sells on line.  They indicated they would have delivery information possibly that day, but for sure on Tuesday, January3rd.  They were out of stock and needed to contact Ameritron for details. 

Sounded good, but I heard nothing on January 3rd or January 4Th.  I e-mailed and asked about the status, they were still working on it.  About 7:00 PM Wednesday night I decided to e-mail Ameritron directly and ask about delivery.  AT 6:38 AM on Thursday, I got a prompt answer from Ameritron, somewhat faster than the distributor was able to accomplish.  Great service from Ameritron!  Thursday night, still no news from the original supplier.  So, I canceled the order.

I place the order with DX Engineering Thursday night, since their web site states "Ships Tomorrow".  They replied to my on-line order early Friday and shipped the amp Friday afternoon.  It was delivered the following Monday, January 9th at 11:40 AM.  My next order will go directly to DX Engineering, simply because of the great service and their ability to supply fast and accurate information.  Consider them for your activities, you will be happy!  Oh, I love the amp, it works great!

I am happy for you and your new amp. It is a great day when one receives a new major addition! I have done plenty of business with DX Engineering and the guys have been absolutely a delight to deal with. I am enjoying my first "season" with their low band, receive only 4 square system. Their products and service are elite class.
