Just added are 3 single-band "Motorola SMP-908" mobiles:
1x VHF & 2x UHF (the latter with a slightly different freq-
uency window onto the UHF band).

Like other gear, they appear to be commercial, but neither
the mic or the front-panel seem to have "Motorola" labels.

The mic looks to me more like an Alinco hand mic, than
any Motorola's that I've ever seen.

(I don't know Motorola gear, except some trunked UHF
radios used in a state-wide gov't radio network.

Should these mobiles have Motorola logos & name on 'em?)

In case they are genuine Motorola gear, what programming
software would a Ham need to set them up for 2m & 70cm?

Is it costly or widely available? What cables or adapters are
needed?

Has anyone trialed any of them, yet? How do they look?

Lots of Chinese gear is coming, and I'd like to know how
these are before even thinking about buying.

Anyone know more?

From what I understand, Motorola is associated with Vertex/Yaesu now.

Anything's possible these days, I guess... :-)

I'd be happy to find a link to a manual for this small family of radios.

Can anyone put a copy up at http://MODS.dk?

(You'd get a year's membership for that donation, I think).
