Need 6O for a new one. EU should have a good shot for most part of the day. It might
be a bit difficult the further one moves away from the East coast of NA.

Good luck to all that need em for a new one.

Nothing heard or seen on the clusters yet. (Noon, Eastern) I hope he is OK and has the paperwork in hand.  Gene AF3Y

He's going to use 20 or 15 SSB as a demonstration? Good luck with that.

Oh NO...... I better (Him TOO) get a few BromoSeltzers and another nerve pill or two, if I (and 25,000 others) am going to try to work him there on the (gasp!) mic. The authorities may NEVER issue any more licenses after listening to that cluster foxtrot..  Undecided  Only good thing, I CAN pump out legal limit on either band with NOOO problems. Update: 9 AM local, still just above the noise on my wire vertical. Some of the usual NA big guns spotting him. Maybe later..... sure would be a NICE one for my #300 Huh

Wow. Turned the rig on after breakfast, saw a spot for him saying Up 12. I spun the second VFO while the amp was warming up and the first place it landed, with no other tuning or tweaking, I heard "5NN TU" in the right ear, tossed in my call and bingo. I had expected a slightly bigger fight than that Smiley

Glad you landed him! I had errands this morning, and now he is on 30m which is not playing very well here this time of day 2:30 PM local. I have not heard him above the noice and lids yet. So far, his choice of bands has not favored NA/SA although he was spotted by quite a few NA/SA ops.  My wire vertical is not getting the job done right now. Oh well, some day.... maybe......  Gene AF3Y

Nice one Peter. An easy one now and then never hurts.

I checked 20m from the pickup at lunch. I think I heard one station in the pileup.

Conditions weren't very good here.

Maybe he will still be on the air when I get in from work @22:00.

I'm just hoping for 10 and 12m plus RTTY. 160 would sure be nice, too, but that's pretty well beyond my distance limit on Topband (plus it's bad terrain-wise as well).

As I mentioned above.... just barely above the QRN here. I dont think he has QRO  Sad but still should be fairly easy from my Florida QTH.

Looks like Somalia IS ISSUING LICENSES easy enough.  I am surprised no small expeditions now and then. I mean, Darko is the 2nd or 3rd guy QRV there......  Huh  Hell, I'll go. Lets get it packed up. hi hi  Gene

It's kinda late there. Can't blame him for wanting to sleeping some.

Hopefully, he can get really rested and stay up later tomorrow.  Grin

I may have to head into work a bit late one morning and try and catch him then.
