Well, I dont want to brag.....  Oh HELL, YES, I DO!

Finally, this morning, I landed DXCC number 300! Worked a rather weak JD8NQJ/JD1 on Minami Torishima. Surprised that this would be "THE ONE"  Shocked .  I thought maybe the 6O, but ANY one would/will do. I have now reached the goal which I set 6 years ago,(1st DX logged on Feb 6, 2006) and from now on, whatever I get is just icing on the cake.

Think a beer with my cornflakes is called for this morning!  Grin  Gene AF3Y

Congratulations Gene - great job! 6O #301?

The JD1 wasn't very strong here this morning, certainly not like past mornings.

Good job Gene!

I started a bit later than you - Nov 2008. Worked XW3DT a week ago as my 250-th.
I really can't imagine there could be any hobby better than ham radio Wink

Congrats, and thanks for the tip! I thought he was on Ogasawara and I didn't even try (and I still need Minami). DOH!!

I hate prefixes with multiple DXCC counters.

Thanks Guys  Embarrassed .  Now, if 6O3A would just work on a band I can "sorta" hear.

Congrats, Gene. With having a DX addiction the high only lasts so long before you need another fix. Got a hit of 6O3A this AM on 12M, just leaves me wanting for more. I may need an intervention.

My Hero Smiley Way to go Gene. I'm closing on you but it may take a while. I just bagged 250 this weekend so I understand how hard new ones are the higher you get.

73,

Gene W5DQ

P.S. The 6BTV is up and flying with the 40M coil/top hat mod for 80M. All bands are zero'ed in and working great.

Looks like a great day for nice round numbers. Got a big packet from the VE3 bureau this morning bringing my Canadian total up to an even 100 mixed -- not bad for 847 QSOs over a total of 10 days spread out over 5 years--CQWW-CW since 2007.

I just bagged 250 this weekend so I understand how hard new ones are the higher you get.

TN2T was my #318.  I need to hunt this JD1 for a new one (I like K3STX have made the JD1/O JD1/M mistake before!) but it looks like that operation is scheduled on and off thru April, which is great.

Rounding out the rest of the year as viewed from NG3K's page, I still need 3C0 and that's probably "in the bag," and I need XX9 and 9M0 but there is always a good chance that I will be unable to hear them.  Conway reef in Sept should be straightforward (though I did fail to work the last Conway Reef!)

All in all this is an exciting looking year, especially given that 15m will probably cooperate for the tough stuff over the pole.  Maybe I should put up a bigger or higher 15m beam.
