Hammarlund clock adjuster shaft extension needed

Could use some help finding the tapped adjuster shaft estension for the Hammarlund Telechron clock.  Any and all ideas will be appreciated.  Posted a want ad in the classifieds as well.

I went to ACE Hardware and got some 1/4" aluminum stock.  Put it in the vise and drilled a hole smaller than the threaded adjuster on the clock.  Sawed the stock off to the proper length.  Did sort of a self tapping of the adjuster rod into the hole of the stock.  Works great, but recommend turning clockwise to prevent accidently unscrewing the shaft.  It's a stinker to get it back together inside the cabinet.  I had to slide the cabinet off the radio in order to work on the shaft/adjuster mating.  Then you have to fish the shaft back through the hole in the back of the cabinet.
