I have attempted to improve the Wouxun KG-UVD1P User's Manual. Download it off my blog site here:

http://lggagnon.files.wordpress.com/2012/03/wouxun_kg-uvd1p_manual1.pdf

If you like it pass it around and link to it. Errata and constructive suggestions for improvement can be sent to the email address located in the document preface.

You write in the Preface, "The Wouxun User's Manual is not copyrighted ... " That is incorrect. It is copyrighted - even if you do not see a formal notice of that fact.

About any document is copyrighted the moment it is committed to memory/storage/print. I can cite case law for you off this list ...

BUT - What you have done is vastly improve the readability and logic of a document. I can hardly see where Wouxun nor their dealers will be complaining (grin). You have made their wares more useable for the U.S. market.

Great work.

Hello VE7EA, I printed a copy of your revised Wouxun manual. I would like to thank you for producing something that the manufacturer should have had in the original manual. This manual makes perfect sense and is easy to use. Thank you again for using your time to produce such an excellent manual, and offering it to those who need it (me).

I have a newer version of the manual, which now also includes the UV2D and UV3D radios here:

I'm sorry for bumping such an old thread, but I hope it's OK since these radios are still being sold. I just bought one of these used, and the manual was almost incomprehensible. I figured out some things, but the re-written manual is SO much clearer! Thanks so much for putting this together. You really made my day!
