Anybody listening to DX on their portable radio?
Just heard W6CCP Op. Seymour in San Diego, Southern California, long path, on my Sangean 818 portable radio.
RST 5/9 here in Ireland.
Am well pleased! Grin

One night I heard cw on my TH-F6 Kenwood ht using the built in ferrite bar ant! That takes quite a signal cause the hf sensitivity is real bad. This was on 30m. A few feet of wire works much better.

Ditto! I was using the Sangean's ANT-60 Reel wire antenna at the time, which was strung up indoors over a window! Wink
