I answered a CQ from WB8YZH on 40m tonight. I had a few mistakes but overall it went very well. The best part is that my "paddles" were two component leads soldered to a bare plug that I stuck in the back of my K2. It worked surprisingly well!

Congratulations...and, I think, there was a RTTY contest in progress. So, a baptism of fire as it were. Enjoy CW.

CONGRATS!!!  I can (almost) remember what that was like...but I remember it was scary and exciting and fascinating. I wish you many happy hours with CW QSOs.

Hi!
I can understand your feelings. I made my first qso not long ago and it was terrific.

Congratulations!!! Way to go!

I just passed my code test today at Pacificon and I'm looking forward to my first QSO as well. I can't wait.
