Have whip with 3/8th male connector - low profile in hoa - 19inches for 2m+- ok ; what whip length for dual band 2m/440?
Base of this antenna is only going to be about 4ft off the ground - FM work. Additional ideas - recommendations?

19.25 inches is 1/4 wavelength on 146 MHz and 3/4 wavelength on or about 445 MHz.  The radiation pattern of a 3/4 wavelength antenna on 445 MHz won't win any awards, but a 19.25 inch whip will work both bands and with a low SWR.  Don't forget to add 4 radials.
