My favorite frequencies are in the US AM broadcast band.  I listen during the day on my car radio (1999 Saturn) when it's parked and using the car's antenna only.  Best DX has been WLIE in West Islip, NY., 540 AM.  It's website sez the station has a South Asian format.  I can hear it just under (and sometimes with) WGOP down in Pocomoke City, MD. WCBS in NYC (880 AM) is very much a clear-channel station and comes in pretty well down here.
