I bought a wouxon uv6d and vox bluetooth adapter to pair with my bluetooth helmet.
Could you provide more details on the bluetooth setup?
I've been looking at some motorcycle handbar type mounts.
I'm not sure you'd want to do that. That's a pretty severe environment for an HT (or anything else electronic). The tank bag seems like a better place. Use a separate antenna if you need the range.
I'd hate to have my radio fumbling down the highway when it pops off at speed!!
When I first started doing cross country trips on my scooter I was all wound up about having a 2M setup and set about making a remote handlebar controllable deal using a commercial HT, FM stereo and audio amp/EQ. Worked great - except there was never anyone to talk to (no different than when traveling cross country in a car). I ended up listening to more FM radio, recorded music and NOAA weather than anything else.
I guess if you wanted to talk to other riders in a group or some other specific purpose in mind then it might be worth the trouble. I still take along at least an HT and sometimes portable QRP HF on rides but I gave up on 2M in motion.
