Greetings to all, I was wondering if Superpad 10" Tablet PC, Google Android 2.2, Webcam, GPS, HDMI, USB, WIFI, could be used for APRS if yes how ? Thank you and 73's to all. Charlie,n3vuo

Hi Charlie,

If you want to use your tablet for APRS through the internet there is a app you can download called APRSdroid. Here is a link to the webpage.  http://aprsdroid.org/

The app will use the GPS in your tablet and the internet to transmit your position and receive positions from others.

I have an iPad and use a similar app called OpenAPRS.

If you'd like to add RF capabilities to your rig, you can build this circuit:

http://www.wolphi.com/interfaces/interface-v2

APRSDroid can be configured to send/receive data via the speaker/mic jack on your device to interface with your radio using the above circuit.
