Supposedly I'm on some sort of notification list from Newark/Element 14 about the RPi availability and have yet to hear anything. Perhaps I'm just waiting until the waiting list goes away.
Tor, Mauri writes in his blog that the Pi has no microphone or line input so a USB audio adapter is required for audio input.
I signed up both on Newark/Element 14 and RS Components. The latter delivered RPI on the date they promised.
I have not heard back from Newark, perhaps my email address got lost?
On audio question there is no audio input on RPI board. See
http://www.raspberrypi.org/faqs audio section. Audio output can be configured on HDMI port or separate headset port. USB device is needed for audio input. See this blog
http://www.hamradioscience.com/the-raspberry-pi-and-ham-radio/ - looks like Signalink USB can be used with RPI to interface with radios. I need to test this as I have one Signalink device that I used for another project.
