Does anyone know of anyone else that repairs and restores Kenwood TS-830S transceivers that is reliable? K4EAA is slowing down due to health issues. If possible in the Southern NJ area.

Thanks,
Dave (KC2PHJ)

Try Bob Mansker, KE5FTF in Austin Tx now, I believe. Bob is still selling parts for Kenwood hybrid radios and might still be repairing these fine radios. These hybrid radios have a big following with many Web sites containing information on how to repair these guys. These radios are easier to work on then the newer radios of today, IMO. The HF test gear (30 Mhz and under) needed to diagnose your problem in your radio can be purchased for not much money in today's marketplace. Good Luck on your project.  Smiley

I sent a TS830S to Bill Haller in Atlanta...great refurb work! See his reviews at http://www.eham.net/reviews/detail/7062.
