The notch filter, if you have one, can be steered around the passband. It's a portable black hole that will swallow up anything it is placed over.

You get to see the entire passband - minus the offending signal.

On my TS-450sat, the notch control is very sensitive and must be turned very slowly. If I am careful though, I can park that notch right on top of some splattery, overdriven signal or maybe a WinLink Lid, thereby mitigating the interference that I experience from these clowns.

Try it, it works for me.
