The last good website link I had was this:

http://www.w5jh.net/Black_Widow.htm

But it seems to be down. Are these still in production?

The W5JH site is still there, but, a different link to the Key returns 404 ERROR code.

LINK: http://www.w5jh.net/

Link For Key now: http://www.w5jh.net/Paddles.htm returns 404 ERROR Msg.

Why don't your eMail him and ask if key is still available? Maybe on vacation?

eMail to: jerry@w5jh.net

Good Luck.

Jerry was definitely talking about getting out of the business within the last year or so. Too bad, he sold some nice kits. I built one of the "baby keys" for my KX1, but got rid of the rig and key.

If you want a picture of the key you can see the old web page but I believe he is out of the business of making keys!

Lucky that he quits for the hams that can not distinguish quality from rubbish.
When I look at the picture in the above link I see attracking magnets as "spring" and additional a sloppy mechanical help spring in order to bring the paddle back close to the attracking magnet. Working on both paddles at the same time and not adjustable.

Bob, just curious what kind of paddle do you use?  I bet I've read it in here somewhere, but I can't remember.  Rick, n5xm

I talked with the maker of the Black Widow. He is no longer producing them. He said he just couldn't make them for what he was selling them for. About your only hope for a Black Widow is to watch E-Bay, ORZ. and other Internet sites and try to find one there.

73, and good luck.
