I believe I saw it discussed here before the brand, I even seen one last week for a great price. It was an old CB antenna triple Dipole, It allowed you to select a directional pattern with it or have all 3 dipoles working as one omnidirectional antenna.
Anyone know what I am talking about
You found the correct name for that antenna.
Now if it is a great price you should buy it. You can do a couple of things with it.
1. Leave it in the stock configuration and shorten the elements for 10 meters. You should rewire the external relay box as it may not handle 100 watts the way it is.
2. Take it apart and make a 3 element yagi out of the elements, and the element mounts. If you use some square aluminum stock you can cut pieces of that 8 inches long. Insert them into the element mounts, then U clamp them onto a boom. Then on the reflector and director elements just run a jumper wire from one element to the other to electrically connect them. The driven element can be fed the same way you feed a dipole.
As I said if the price is right buy it, the tubing alone is worth having around.
