The title pretty much says it all.  I came home this evening, began powering up my rigs and when I pushed the power button on the FT100D all I heard was a big "pop" then a bunch of clicking type sounds and now the rig is dead.  Recommendations please on who I can send this to for repairs, or do I just put it on eBay for parts and look for another?

It was not the FT100D, my power supply crapped out, which is much cheaper to replace than the radio. So mods you can delete this post if you want.

power supplies are   usually  very  easy  to fix....

and a pop  even indicates  some  physical  failure..
filter capacitor..   just  eyeball that..

also  suspect  cause of a  fat or exploded  electrolytic  is a bad/shorted  diode.

replace/check  the  diodes   also..

not rocket surgery..

Try Burghardt's (http://www.burghardt-amateur.com/). I've never used them but when I thought I had a problem with my FT-100D a few people here recommended them. When I called them last year they did say they worked on FT-100's.
