Not sure which section to post this in, so hopefully it's posted where someone will be able to assist me.

For the past two days when I attempt to access the login page for LoTW on the ARRL website I have a long delay after clicking the link, then switched to blank white page with the following text:

Fatal error: initializeLOTWDB: -709 - CONNECT: (cannot connect to server socket): General database error [initializeLOTWDB: -709 - CONNECT: (cannot connect to server socket)]

I get the same white page and text when I use Google Chrome and Internet Explorer.  I'm not good with computers at all, so have no clue what any of that text means.  Was advised to try both browsers by one of my nephews via the phone...but he's busy with school and won't be able to help for a cpl days.  Can someone tell from that text whether the problem is in my computer or the ARRL end?  I have not used the LoTW yet...spent the last few days reading the instructions re: getting certificates and all that stuff figured out...got that part done and now when I tried to go to their login page to use the LoTW for the first time, I get that message/error mess above.  I don't think it has anything to do with my account itself, because I never get to the page where I would enter user Id and password, etc. I get the message I copied above when I click on the link that's supposed to take me to their login page.

Thank you for your time and assistance;

I was able to connect yesterday from this computer, unable to connect now - getting same message you are. The problem is at their end, try again later.

Thank you...just relieved I've not messed up the computer -- grandkids/nieces or nephews usually have to come over to fix it when I do something I shouldn't have.

Thank you for your time and assistance;
