I purchased a new in box Ameritron AL-80B from Derek this week. The deal went great with no issues and I would deal with Derek again without a second thought. Thanks Derek.

I just bought an Index Labs cabinet from Derek- very pleased and packed well. It took a few emails back and forth- but in the end I it worked out very well.

Don't recall if/when I purchased anything from him, I did have a want post, he didn't read it, as I asked for a pic of the item in reply, so I e-mailed him asking again, can you send a pic of the item (never know what real "condition" something is in).  Guess he didn't like that, never responding back, so I deleted his e-mail.  Not worth it.

So, to answer, Not sure what to think but probably won't entertain deaing with him.  Don't need the hassle or down the road, a problem if this was a big deal outright....

KT0DD:

Todd was great to deal with--no hassles!

Straight forward without a need to 'bond' like so many others!

W7NKR.

I tend to avoid what appear to be phishing trips from those who want photos, detailed info, etc. etc., which there are ever so many, and then move on.

But, perhaps you can enlighten me.  Why do many who respond to my eHam listings point out the comments of the trolls who post bogus negatives about me but who have never had a transaction with me, but neglect to reference the nice stuff said by others...?  Several very nice comments were recently posted (by guys I actually sold stuff to) in the KJ6DRG thread 'K7FF IS A MORON...' where he trashed me (but who I have never sold anything to).  Thankfully, that thread was just removed by the eHam staff after they gave me the opportunity to mount a spirited defense.

W7NKR:

Get over it?

No can do.

Negative feedback takes on a life of its own (as opposed to positive feedback--which is ignored by those looking for dirt), whether deserved or not, to forever haunt the intended target.

I still get negative emails referencing your and other' negative posts as proof that I am a thief and can't be trusted even though I never had a transaction with you or any of them.  The most recent was a few days ago concerning the Andrew Heliax connectors I have listed here on eHam.  The guy referenced the negatives and insisted that I open the sealed packages and take photos of the contents next to a K7FF QSL (which I have none).  I refused, and told him to look elsewhere.

A number of those negative posts were in the recent thread 'K7FF is a Moron ...'  by Mike, KJ6DRG where he faulted me for declining to sell a transceiver for him, which I had listed on eHam, to his elderly dad who lives in another State.  A sheer recipe for disaster.

Thankfully, that lengthy thread was deleted by the eHam ClassifiedsMaster for, I can only assume, inappropriate content submitted by KJ6DRG.

GL - perhaps if you changed your attitude a bit, you might receive much less negative publicity...time to move on...GL

W7NKR:

How patronizing and condescending.

Change my attitude?  Really!!!  I beg to differ.

In the classical sense, you 'begged the question' by your implied premise that it is my attitude, and not the attitude or conduct of others, that is the problem.

None of the trolls who choose to badmouth me have ever bought anything from me, including yourself.

Since I do not suffer fools lightly, in order to avoid conflict I just try to avoid them.  However, when given the opportunity, those fools happily jump on the hate wagon to vent their frustration, often resorting to insults and profanity to punctuate their displeasure.  As retribution, their collective intent appears to be to dissuade others from dealing with me.

The majority of buyers and sellers on eHam are quality, no hassle type guys.
However, you, and some others, could use an upgrade.

Pity.

Now, if you guys would just change your bogus attitudes. . .

CW, the heart and soul of amateur radio.
But, for all those modern 'no code' hams,
Merely an incomprehensible annoyance...

Alright since there seems to be a lot of negativity here, let me throw my comments in as well.
I just did my SECOND Deal with K7FF. I sent a note asking about something that was not even advertised. Derek not only answered promptly but dug around in his collection and found additional items that I was also looking for.
OK, so some of you do not like paying with US postal money orders. You don't have to. Shop somewhere else.
I sent a money order and received my goods 3 days later. The package was full, and even had some items that I only mentioned in passing, but was not charged for.
K7FF is not too tolerant of tire Kickers and time wasters. But ask a serious question, you will receive a serious response.
I have done transactions with others that took my money and did not send the goods.
Not here. Thank you Derek.
