I recently acquired a well used DX-35 along with some boat anchor items. When I insp. the DX-35 I was surprised to find the RF output tank coil was missing and a single coil that appears to be 10//11 m was in its place. Then I found (3) 8.xx mhz crystals installed. No way I could come up with 26--29 mhz out. from above mentioned xtals.24.xx mhz maybe or 32.xx. I wonder if it was mod. for use on some MARS or CAP freq. The osc/buffer ckts. were designed to double or triple the osc. freq.
Any ideas, anyone?

It might be setup for 6 meters.
