Do repeater coordination organizations expect repeater trustees to get permission to link repeaters? I know that the answer tends to be yes for RF linking but what about non-RF linking, such as IRLP and Echolink?

I would say No. It would be hard for them to coordinate a repeater linked via IRLP, ECHOLINK, or DSTAR when the other system might be in another state or country. I am the trustee of a DStar repeater and my coordinating organization only handles the actual local RF portion.

These linked systems tend to be much more active than a regular repeater.
