Bought one of these off the online auction site awhile back (yeah, I know).  Anyway, after looking through the manual online, getting the proper power supply (wall wart) and the correct radio to device cable, I tried it out.  No audio at all.  Don't have any "test" equipment, other than a multimeter.  Any suggestions to see if this is functional?  If not, I'll consider it DOA and learn from the experience.

Audio can be checked easily. Connect a speaker and touch the signal line with a screwdriver holding the metal in your hand. You should hear the hum. As you got the manual, there is a schematic which identifies parts and voltages. Check the voltages. Worst case you got to change one of the 747s or the LM380.

Any results from measuring voltages?

KA4POL:   REALLY appreciate you checking back up on this.  The manual online was for a newer version and did not have the info suggested.  Sent an email to MFJ to see if they could send me the schematic.

Just curious, this one should be really easy.
