I've just started getting on HF and seek some nets to participate in. I stumbled upon Buckaroo net on 40 meters before dawn and was able to participate, but most of the time I find the net when they're not calling for check-ins.

Are there some net schedules and frequencies listed somewhere that I can try and participate in at the proper time?

Thanks!

Check http://www.arrl.org/arrl-net-directory-search for an online search form.

Craig, you might go to OMISS.net, check out their website, lots of info there including their sked.

“The Freewheels Group on 3.916 everyday of the week from about 7pm CST to at least 1:00 am CST. This really is the friendliest frequency on 75 meters and ALL new comers are VERY welcome to join in.  These guys are great and very friendly. Check in once and if you don’t make some good friends I’ll be very surprised.

Yes, very nice bunch of people there. And they really do welcome new people.
There are others around as well on 75.
Also, if you are up early (5am or so EST) you can check in with Talkshop on 7.195.
Andrew in Maryland is usually Net Control. And another nice bunch to talk to.

Oh, and during the day on 7.195 there is a very large group that comes and goes
all day.
