We are now accepting applications to join the MOTOTRBO DMR-MARC network of 130 + DMR repeaters in 13 countries. For those of you who have never heard of us, we strung together many repeaters in a worldwide network using the international standard "Digital Mobile Radio" (aka DMR) and specifically Motorola's IP Site Connect technology. DMR products are made by nearly a dozen manufacturers including Motorola, Vertex Standard, Hytera, Harris rebranded Hytera radios, Tait, Simoco, Kirisun, and several smaller Chinese companies. We only allow MOTOTRBO repeaters on our network but you can use mobile and portable radios from any of the manufacturers.
It's a fun concept since each repeater supports 2 independent voice and data channels at the same time. Usually slot 1 is linked to the large wide network and slot 2 is statewide or local. Read all about it and drop us a line using the "contact Us" link at the top of the webpage if you have any questions. Visit http://dmr-marc.net
for all of the information.
I'm especially looking forward to any UK applications to join us, but we're an open crew always looking for all kinds of interested hams and ham clubs to join our network from anywhere else.
