on my homebrew antenna, i have a SO239 mounted beside the antenna. From the center pin of the SO239, i ran a jumper wire to the loading coil. I have seen some however run the center conductor to the mounting bolt of the antenna, and run the braid from the coax to the ground. Is it ok to use the SO 239 or should i do it the other way?? seems to me it shouldnt matter.

Also seems to me it shouldn't matter, as long as you keep them as short as practical.
