Universal Radio shows the FT-2000 series as discontinued.  http://www.universal-radio.com/catalog/hamhf/0215.html

Are they aware of something or in error?

I have not heard of anything about it, but I can ask. It was not selling anymore. The FTDX-3000 is outselling the crap out of it.

First I have heard.
The Yaesu FTDX-3000 is $300 less than the new Icom IC-756Pro I purchased 13 years ago!

The FT-2000 is virtually discontinued.  There is a $400 discount coupn for this that ends this month, and that's usually a death sentance.  They have probably stopped manufacturing (or soon will) and just burning off unique parts stock.

The latest RadCom has just come out and some ads are saying last remaining stock.

Good riddance. The FT-2000 was a good idea poorly executed.

I asked, but no info yet. My guess is that Yaesu would not likely say anything until all inventory us cleared out. And I have no idea on how much they have left, little or a lot.

Wonder what the replacement will be for it?  Obviously not the FTDX3000 as that doesn't do dual receive.  Is the FTDX5000 considered its replacement?

Wonder when Yaesu is coming out with another satellite rig?  Or an all DSP version of the FT857/897 to compete with the Icom 7000/7100?

The replacement for it (price range, not functional replacement), is the 3000. I do not think they will issue a functional replacement, as the 5000 is pretty popular as a Dual Receive radio, as well as a superior radio.

Is the 3000 that much better than the TS590?  It costs almost twice as much.

The curious thing is - HRO and AES both just raised the price of the 2000 back up by $200.  They had noth been discounting it for about $2500-2600, and now it's $2800.  The $400 coupon is still active until the end of the month.
