FT-857D, LDG At-600Pro, and AL-811H (at the same time)?

My LDG Tuner uses the 1/8" stereo type ACC port on the 857 for tuning.  The AL-811H uses the same ACC port for ALC control.  Is there a way to hook up BOTH the tuner and the amp to the 857 ACC port at the same time?  Would a simple stereo splitter adapter work if the adapter was plugged into the ACC port and the tuner and amp were plugged into the adapter? 

Everything works now with the tuner plugged in to the ACC jack, however I have to REMEMBER to keep the RF output to 65 Watts or less when using the AMP.  Admittedly, I have put 100 Watts into the AMP a time or two, since the ALC is not hooked up, but it was only for a very short time, and the AMP still works just fine.  I just want to prevent future instances of over driving the AMP.

If you read the AT-600 manual closely on pages 6 and 8, you will see that the radio control cable is optional, and not necessary for normal operation.  I would not advise hooking the amp and tuner keying lines in parallel.  That could lead to unexpected and unwanted behaviors.  So that leaves you several options, only one of which (#1) doesn't require you to think carefully every time you fire up:

#1  Forget the cable to the tuner.  Plug in the amp in and go.

#2  Build a little switch box between them, so you can switch that cable from the tuner to the amp.  Just remember what order your doing things every time to avoid the loud boom.

#3  Plug the tuner into the ACC jack.  Connect the amp to the CAT/Linear port (see page 32 of the 857 manual).  Use the TX Ground and Ground pins.  Connector views in the manual are typically cacing the rig, which is the same view as the back of the mating connector with the backshell removed for soldering.  Just make sure the amp is off or in standby when tuning to avoid nasty noises.

   Also note that the AL-811H might be pressed to meet or exceed the maximum rating of the tuner, so tread lightly.

I never use a ALC connection with a amp and always limit my drive power. I normally drive my amp with 50 to 55 watts and run the same power barefoot. When I need more power, I turn on amp. In your case the difference between 65 watts and 100 is less than 2 db so basically nothing is really gained by cranking it up to 100 watts barefoot.
