Let's use 6 or 10 meter for this...

Say you made a simple dipole and instead of stringing it up in the air or mounting it up against the roof line of your house you constructed a "T" made out of sprinkler PVC...1/2" or 3/4"...

You used either a simple center insulator or a 1:1 balun(on each side) so basically you have a flat top dipole on the front and back of this PVC "T".  You did this to both sides and you connected both of the two sides with a jumper.

What would happen? Please explain in radio antenna terms what has been created.

I hope this doesn't sound crazy...I'm just curious.

Sounds like one more way to configure a fan dipole.

The purpose of an antenna tuner is to increase the current through the radiation resistance at the antenna to the maximum available magnitude resulting in a radiated power of I2(RRAD) from the antenna.

Let's see if I understand your design:

The overall length of PVC pipe is the same as a half wave dipole, with half
of the pipe sticking out either side of the center T connector.  Then you
build two dipoles for the same band, mounting one on each side of the
PVC pipe.  Is that correct?

If so, it will work the same as a single dipole, though the bandwidth might
be slightly wider.  That's because the two antennas are so close together
they act as a single antenna.

If you use dipoles for two different bands (6m and 10m, for example), and
the PVC was long enough for 10m, then you would have dipoles for two
bands connected in parallel, and it would work like a dipole on each band.
(Often called a "fan dipole", though a true fan dipole is a wideband antenna
that can, for example, cover a 4 : 1 frequency range continuously.)

If this isn't what you were trying to describe, give it another try.
