Hello everyone,

Since a couple of weeks I have been searching online for the perfect multiband receiver. I am currently using a Medion MD 82157, which I was able to buy for 10 euro's at my local Aldi Market two years ago.  Since this purchase I got more and more into analog Radio and now I am looking for a replacement radii with better sensitivity and options. Also I bought the course material for the ham license exam but my current social situation doesn't allow a lot of studying or reading.

Anyway my options for a new radio are the following. About all three I read a lot of positive reviews but there's always somebody pointing out that one of the other two is better than the one reviewed so I wonder if you can help me decide which radio to buy.

- Sony SW7600GR
- TecSun PL-310
- Degan DE- 1103

Please don't let the prices of the machine change judgement of the machine's features and sensitivity.

Sony has the synchronous lock feature, pl 310 has digital filtering and the de1103 has better frequency range and as I read great sensitivity. My current best option is the Degan but I don't know what I miss in the synchronous lock functionality.

What would you reckon is the best portable receiver on the (second hand) market in 2013?

Thank you for your input!

Wouter

Anyone? Tomorrow I have the chance of buying the Sony for 60eur. I will probably do that anyway and buy the degen on eBay. But let me know if you think I'm wasting money :-)

It might be better if this was posted in the SWL forum

Thanks, I will do a repost there, where I will include the Tecsun PL-660, which I completely missed apparently, but seen the reviews is probably the best to go for!
