Forgive me, but I thought listening was key to working dx. As I write this, the clusters are rampant with wrong call signs being spotted....everywhere..(5J0R/XR0ZR).....too much dependency on these clusters.....no one listens anymore.....This really has become a problem.....especially in a situation like this, where there are multiple dxpeditions going on at the same time......I find it delicious to a certain extent....ya know, someone thinks they are working a needed entity, but it turns out to be France!.....too funny.....yet too sad at the same time.... I also have a panadapter. So I'm watching XR0ZR on 80M the other evening; condx are rather good so there's a big pile.
He sends KY6 ? KY6? - what do I see on the panadapter almost as many "KY6xx" as total number of stations calling!! Finally the two hook up for the QSO. Same thing happens less than one minute later. XR0ZR calls AB5? AB5?. You'd think that 90% of the stations are calling have their prefix AB5 !! Unbelievable!! No Listening.

And some of these guys are running full legal power, have #1 Honor Roll, have that DX code of conduct logo on their QRZ.COM page - and guys I used to respect. Are band slots or Marathon points worth this much?
In some cases it is not even Marathon or band slots. I have pointed this out several times in recent years in this forum. World wide there are ops that just have to work the second or third DXpedition to the same country. The online logs prove this out.
No they don't listen. Many don't listen. CW seems to be the worst. How if they listen the DX sends "/M" and 100 ops are still calling ? Then this is repeated. 100 still calling.
Now sometimes even I call out place. Usually when the DX gets QSB or QRM or I just lose the send/receive sequence.
Not that pileups were orderly 15 - 20 years ago, but the rudeness was not at this level.
