I didn't read the whole post, did I? The CA stuff is pretty good, I'll send you a foot, if you'd like to see it.

RF Parts has LMR-400 listed for 89 cents a foot, http://www.rfparts.com/coaxialcable/coax-times/lmr400.html. That's the best price I see in any of my usual sources. Even Hutton is over $1000 for a spool of 1000 ft.

Good luck,

If you're still looking for "real" LMR-400 send me an email at <my call> at a  t  t  dot net.  I may be able to help.

Buy CA-400 from L-com, l-com.com. It's the same as the LMR-400 from Times, but priced better. They've had better pricing, but right now it's $600 for a 1000 ft spool.

Hutton and Tessco can have excellent pricing too, but they're a lot like Grainger, in that they prefer commercial customers.

As of this moment they have it listed at $499.99/1000' plus 33.85 shipping to the OP's zip code...$533.00 for 1000' shipped.

I use the equivalent of LMR-400, the bulk used by the cellphone industry. It has the copper clad aluminum
solid center conductor. Specs are identical to LMR-400 and a 500ft roll from Jefatech is only $260 shipped.

I have 2 runs of that for about 150ft here. Can't beat the price. But it is not the direct burial type.

When I needed 350' of LMR-400 and Texas Towers was out of stock, I called:

WireMasters       www.wiremasters.net

1788 Northpointe Rd., Columbia, TN 38401 UNITED STATES
    PH: 615-791-0281 TF: 800-635-5342 FX: 615-791-6182

They're an authorized distributor of Times Microwave and they had it in stock.  Know what you're willing to pay before calling.

I can recall one incident of ordering what I thought was genuine LMR-400 only to find they gave me "equivalent" coax (Their link even advertised it as genuine!). I was able to obtain the specs and found it was far lossier.. and for EME work that wasn't going to cut it! I was able to return it for a full refund and I alerted Times Microwave of this company who was pulling the "bait and switch". I finally obtained the real stuff elsewhere and it has been working great for what I'm using it for.

I've used this coax for years and it works very well. Great prices. I too was a Times cable user but the price got too expensive for you me.

I have to agree with some of the others on this one...JefaTech makes a quality product.
I've replaced several runs of 9913 and LMR-400 at my own QTH with their 400 equivalent,
with no issues after several years.

Best Regards,
